FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Nurrow.
Is Nurrow really free?
Nurrow is free to use, with no account required to start focusing. An optional premium subscription unlocks extras like faster hatching and exclusive pets. There are no ads, and the mobile app collects no data.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use Nurrow's core features without signing up. An account is only needed if you choose to subscribe or restore a purchase.
What platforms does Nurrow support?
Nurrow is available now on Android and iPhone (mobile apps). Windows and macOS desktop apps, plus the browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave, are coming soon.
Can I use Nurrow without the browser extension?
Yes, the extension is optional. Right now the best way to get started is the mobile app; the browser extension pairs with the desktop app, which is coming soon.
What happens if I close the app during a session?
Closing the app ends your focus session. You won't receive rewards for incomplete sessions.
How do I earn pets?
Complete focus sessions to earn egg drops. Place eggs in hatching slots and wait for them to hatch into pets. You can also buy pets directly from the Shard Store.
What are shards?
Shards are the in-app currency. Earn them through focus sessions, streaks, achievements, and daily quests. Spend them on pets, eggs, treats, and instant hatching.
Can I sync between desktop and mobile?
Currently, desktop and mobile run independently. Cross-platform sync is planned for a future update.
Will Windows show a security warning when the desktop app installs?
Likely yes, at first. Windows SmartScreen shows warnings for new applications that haven't built up reputation yet. When the Windows app launches, click 'More info' then 'Run anyway' to proceed. Nurrow contains no malware or tracking.
How do I reset my data?
In the mobile app, go to Settings and look for the reset option. This will clear your local data including pets, shards, and statistics.
