Timer Modes

Nurrow offers 5 preset timer modes plus a custom option. Each mode is designed for different types of work.

Short

15 minutes

Quick burst of focus. Great for small tasks or when you're just starting out.

Pomodoro

25 minutesRecommended

The classic Pomodoro technique. Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break.

Long

45 minutes

For deeper tasks that need sustained attention. A full class period of focus.

Extended

60 minutes

A full hour of uninterrupted work. Best for complex projects and deep thinking.

Ultra

90 minutes

Maximum focus session. Matches the length of a full ultradian rhythm cycle.

Custom

Your choice

Set any duration you want. Useful when none of the presets fit your workflow.

Tips for Choosing a Mode

  • New to focus work? Start with Short (15m) and work your way up.
  • Studying or writing? Pomodoro (25m) keeps you fresh with regular breaks.
  • Deep coding or research? Try Extended (60m) or Ultra (90m) for flow state.
